The Wild Card Sells For Six Figures
The Ron Burke Stable nine-horse consignment was led by the sale of The Wild Card for a six-figure price tag on Wednesday (Dec. 28) afternoon at onGait.com.
The Wild Card brought a final bid of $100,500. The five-year-old son of Bettors Delight, sports a 1:50 mark and has earned nearly $300,000 lifetime. Scott Dillon of Maine was the winning bidder.
Also from the Burke offering: Premier Dreamer p,3,1:51.3s sold for $42,400 to Daniel Maier of Ohio, as agent; Golden Compass 4,1:54.2f, which raced at The Meadows just prior to close of bidding on Wednesday, sold for $40,000 to Michigan's Steve Oldford; Supervisethemoment p,3,1:53.1f, a Control The Moment gelding for $32,200 to Andrew Glassmeyer of Delaware; the American Ideal filly Flip The Script p,3,1:53.4f, selling for $31,200 to Ontario's Stephen Klunowski; Love This Bar 3,1:56.3f, a $28,200 purchase for Wallace Townsend of Delaware; the Muscle Hill three-year-old HL Mammoth 3,1:58.4h, for $22,200 to Rocco Stebbins of New York; the Cantab Hall three-year-old Troycen, for $16,000 to Larry Parlin and the three-year-old broodmare prospect Jewelsbewithus p,3,1:51.3s, selling to Steven Knepp of Indiana for $8,200.
