Youngster Doubles Up In Dayton Open
Age is nothing but a number to three-year-old filly Ainthesamewithoutu. As the youngest competitor in the field of seven, Ainthesamewithoutu dominated the mature mares in the $25,300 Fillies and Mares Open Pace on Friday (Dec. 16) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.
Driver Tony Hall left the gate alertly with 8-5 favourite Ainthesamewithoutu. The daughter of Sweet Lou never gave the older mares a chance as she set fractions in :27.3, :56.3 and 1:23.4. Despite being challenged by 2-1 second choice Rockin Nola in the final turn, Ainthesamewithoutu went on. Seemingly on cruise control, Ainthesamewithoutu tripped the wire in an easy 1:53. Marloe Hanover (Brett Miller) held on for second while Classicist (Chris Page) finished third.
The victory marked two in a row for Ainthesamewithoutu. The filly has now won three of her four Open level ventures with an additional second-place finish. In 21 seasonal starts, Ainthesamewithoutu has bankrolled $91,745 for breeder/owner/trainer Anette Lorentzon.
Live racing will resume Saturday (Dec. 17) at Dayton Raceway with first post at 4 p.m.
