Brookview Bullet Scores In Dayton Open
Living to his name, Brookview Bullet shot down the stretch to capture the $25,200 Horse and Gelding Open Handicap Pace on Saturday (Dec. 10) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.
Driven by Chris Page, Brookview Bullet wasted no time gunning down the front. As soon as the dust settled, the four-year-old gelded son of Always A Virgin shifted into gear. Unchallenged throughout, 8-5 favourite Brookview Bullet posted fractions in :27, :55.1 and 1:22.3 before stopping the clock in 1:50.3. Fellow Hooiser Park invader Macs Big Boy was second with Robert Again finishing third.
The victory pushed Brookview Bullet over $100,000 in seasonal earnings. In 23 starts, the gelding has now scored six wins, four seconds and three third-place finishes. Brookview Bullet is conditioned by Henry Graber Jr. for owner Eleven Star Stables.
Live racing will resume Tuesday (Dec. 13) at Dayton Raceway with first post at 4 p.m. (EST).
