Beach Moment Holds On To Win Flamboro Feature

In a battle to the finish, Beach Moment won the $13,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Flamboro Downs on Thursday (Dec. 8) evening.

Travis Henry and Beach Moment went to the gate as the bettors' choice in the late race. The pair left hard out of the gate and grabbed the early lead. Beach Moment controlled the pace, posting times of :27.1, :56 and 1:25 to the three-quarters. Around the final turn, Miss Rockadali (Tyler Borth) claimed the lead for a brief moment. Down the stretch, Beach Moment regained control and battled challengers on both sides. Miss Rockadali gave one last surge, but was caught at the wire by a nose in 1:54.4. Coz Im Special (Travis Cullen) rounded out the ticket.

Trained by Blake MacIntosh, Beach Moment is a four-year-old mare by Control The Moment. MacIntosh co-owns the winner of $161,750 in career earnings with Hutt Racing Stable. Beach Moment moves her win total to nine for the season.
