The Kingpin Is Still The Best
Since September, one participant in the 2022 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable contest has prevailed as The Kingpin and with one month left there's a good chance Scot Wood will remain atop the leaderboard.
Wood's stable — The Kingpin — boasts a bankroll in excess of $12.7 million in the fantasy stable contest, best among the near 850 people entered. His lead is nearly one million dollars with less than a month remaining for his challengers to make a dent in that margin.
Brought to you in partnership with the Breeders Crown, the TROT Fantasy Stable Contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 27 and Dec. 31, 2022.
For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2022 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Also, in the two-year-old categories, contestants were allowed to select two horses.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2023 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
