Governor's Cup Contender Cant Stop Lou Sells For Six Figures

Promising two-year-old pacing colt Cant Stop Lou will be racing for new connections on Saturday, Nov. 26 in the $430,000 Governor's Cup at The Meadowlands.

Cant Stop Lou p,2,1:52.2f-'22 ($167,400) was sold on Tuesday, Nov. 22 via onGait.com for $310,000 to Greg Luther Racing of Blacklick, Ohio.

The gifted son of Sweet Lou-Cant Stop Me Now finished second, a half-length behind Stormalong, in his 1:51.2 elimination last Saturday after setting the fractions. He will leave from post two this weekend with Dexter Dunn picking up the drive. 

Previously owned by trainer Nancy Takter and JAF Racing, Rojan Stables, R A W Equine Inc., and Jeffrey Bell, Cant Stop Lou put together a record reading 4-3-1 from 11 starts so far in his career.  He will remain in the Nancy Takter stable for the Governor's Cup, as per race conditions.

Also selling this week at onGait.com, the American Ideal three-year-old Shakertown p,3,1:51.3f was purchased for $70,000 by Mark P'pool of Indiana and the Huntsville filly Lee Loo p,3,Q1:50.2 was purchased by Jason Brewer of Ohio for $63,000.
