Kamal Pacing Series To Blue Collar Man
Blue Collar Man bagged the $35,000 final of the Gary Kamal Pacing Series at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Saturday night (Nov. 5).
Blue Collar Man cleared the lead, but paid a stiff price to control terms with fractions of :26.3 and :55. The three-year-old by Bolt The Duer then faced a host of challengers turning for home but withstood all pressure to win narrowly in 1:53.4. Special FX took second while Skyline Blue Chip finished third.
Dan Daley trains Blue Collar Man for owners Ann-Marie Daley and Donald Brenner, both of Florida. As the second choice in the betting, he paid $5.80 to win and led an exacta and triple that returned $50.50 and $425.50, respectively.
The Gary Kamal Pacing Series is named in honour of the longtime Saratoga horseman, who passed away in 2007.
Live racing continues on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 6) at Saratoga with a matinee that starts at 12 p.m. (EST).
