Kandor Hanover Rebounds
Rebounding from a pair of uncharacteristic off-the-board finishes, Kandor Hanover powered through the Lightning Lane to capture Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred
Trot at The Meadows.
Kandor Hanover, who exited four straight races against the track’s top colts and geldings, relished her return to the distaff feature, as she worked out a cozy pocket trip from Post 8 for Dave Palone and brushed late to score in 1:55.3. Photo Fantasy was a ground-saving second, 2-1/2 lengths back, with the first-over Anastasia Whinnie third.
Bill Zendt trains Kandor Hanover, a six-year-old daughter of Tagliabue-Katelyns Glory who now boasts career earnings of $470,535, for Online Stables, John Burns and Pat Huber.
It was one of four wins for Palone on the 15-race card.
