Power And Grace Rolls At Flamboro
The seven-year-old Holiday Road mare Power And Grace protected position from the pylon post and never let go to take the $13,000 Preferred Trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night (Oct. 30).
Power And Grace controlled terms through fractions of :28, :58 and 1:27 while bearing the mild presence of Arrakis parked the mile and uncovered prominently on the rim. As Arrakis dropped anchor and retreated through the field, Power And Grace turned for home unphased and maintained command to the finish of a 1:56.3 mile. Dealin With Dewey closed for second, beaten three-quarter lengths, with Lucas NL third and Sicario fading off a pocket trip to finish fourth.
Winning her 43rd race from 134 starts, Power And Grace has now banked $368,894. Ronald MacDonald trains the mare for owners Hartel Maintenance Inc. and Lormer McClure. She paid $9.10 to win.
