Beyond Better Back At It
After more than six months away from the racetrack, Preferred class competitor Beyond Better made a triumpant return to the track during the Friday (Oct. 28) qualifying session at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
With Bob McClure at the controls, the five-year-old gelding made every call a winning one during his morning test. After fractions of :29.1, :58.2 and 1:27.2, Beyond Better sprinted home in :27.1 to hit the wire a length to the good with the mile timed in 1:54.3.
Trained by Bob McIntosh, Beyond Better (Bettors Delight - Somethinincredible) is owned by his trainer along with Dave Boyle of Bowmanville and Mardon Stables of Loretto, Ont. The 15-time winner sports a 1:50 speed badge with nearly $300,000 in career purses.
