An Exciting November Ahead At Meadowlands

Harness racing returns to the Meadowlands Racetrack on Friday, Nov. 4.  Racing happens every Friday and Saturday night with a 6:20 p.m. post time.

The GSY Racing Club will pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth and her love of horses on Nov. 4. Queen Elizabeth's horses won all the British classics: Ascot’s Gold Cup, Epsom’s Derby, the lot, and she’s been inducted into the British racing Hall of Fame. The American GSY drivers will race against UK drivers Lee Morris, Jaimie Neil Davies, Marc Thomas Jones, Richard Haythornwaite and Grant Keith Cullen in two Meadowlands races. The Pink Buffet will include UK favourites fish and chips, Shepherd's pie, and gin and tonics will be the special cocktail of the evening.

The Meadowlands Racetrack is keeping things spicy this fall with the Fall Chili Cook-Off scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5.  The competition features homestyle, chili verde and salsa categories and offers over $4,500 in prizes. Racetrack guests are also welcome to be part of the fun.  They are encouraged to sample the chili and vote for their favourite.  

The top two-year-old trotters and pacers will take center stage on Saturday, Nov. 12 for the Kindergarten Finals worth more than $1 million. There will also be a Celebration of Life ceremony for Dave Brower. Brower, who passed away at age 53 while on assignment in Lexington, Kentucky on Oct. 7, was the longtime lead TV personality, oddsmaker and program analyst at The Big M.

Also on Nov. 12, the Elton & Elvis Tribute Show makes a stop at the racetrack. Guests will be taken on a three-act tour – set one features solo Elvis, set two solo Elton John and set three features Elvis and Elton together singing each other’s hits. The cost for the dinner and show is $72, inclusive of tax and gratuity, and includes a delectable dinner menu. Tickets to just the show are $22.

Harness racing’s biggest stars will battle it out on the track on Saturday, Nov. 26 in the TVG and Fall Final Four Finals at the Meadowlands Racetrack.  This year will be extra special with trotting queen Atlanta retiring from racing after banking more than $3.6 million in her career. The great Atlanta’s retirement ceremony will be held following the final start of her career in the TVG Mares Final. America’s No. 1 sportsbook is the FanDuel Sportsbook located inside the Meadowlands Racetrack. It is open seven days a week and parking is free.  Numerous HD TVs are spread throughout the sportsbook along with self-service and teller-operated wagering machines so guests do not miss a moment of the action.  It is the perfect place to watch and wager on all the sports action.

Meadowlands has $12 all-you-can-eat wing bar and trivia on Football Sundays with prizes, hosted by Marc Malusis in the second floor lounge. Trivia questions will be announced every half hour beginning at 1 p.m. There will be 10 prizes of $100 FanDuel betting credit awarded each Sunday. Must be present to win. Plus this Sunday, guests can join NFL legends Wayne Chrebet & Justin Tuck at The FanDuel Combine as they pass, dash and kick their way to win football tickets, jerseys, signed memorabilia and more. Rack up points during each combine event to climb the leaderboard and win prizes.

Justin Tuck, retired NY Giant Defensive End and two-time Super Bowl Champion Giant will be onsite 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Giants kickoff at 1 p.m.). Wayne Chrebet, retired NY Jets Wide Receiver and NY Jets Ring of Fame honouree, will be onsite from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Jets kickoff at 4:05 p.m.).

Here’s How The FanDuel Combine Works:

1. Visit FanDuel Sportsbook at the Meadowlands retail location before Sunday, Oct. 23.

2. Place a $50+, 3+ leg football parlay and then register to participate in the event.

3. If you place a qualifying wager and then register before the end of the Promotion Period, you’ll be eligible to compete in the FanDuel Combine taking place on Oct. 23.
