Maddys Credit Clings To Leamington Win
Pylon-starter Maddys Credit led every step and just held to victory in the $5,500 Preferred 4 Handicap Pace at Leamington Raceway on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 16).
Driver Natasha Day darted the nine-year-old Up The Credit mare to the point and pocketed Mister Rebbily A toward a :28 first quarter. Bolt Power, the 1-2 favourite, pushed first over into a :58.2 half and dug into the pacesetter moving to three-quarters in 1:28.1. She inched to match strides with Maddys Credit coming off the turn but Maddys Credit fought back to the inside to edge a half length in front to the finish of a 1:56.4 mile. Mister Rebbily A finished third and Phone In took fourth.
Trained by Cassidy Schneider, who co-owns with Colonel Schneider Jr., Maddys Credit collected her 17th win from 141 starts and has now earned $117,299. She paid $7.30 to win.
