James MacDonald wasted no time in making the lead with Locatelli in Tuesday’s featured trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the gelding went the distance in the $20,000 affair.

Leaving from Post 8, Locatelli drilled his way to the top and then carved out fractions of :28.4, :57.1 and 1:25 before kicking home in :28 to win by 5-1/2 lengths over Inaminute Hanover in 1:53.  Taking home third prize was Globetrotting.      

Sent off as the 2-1 favourite, the Harry Poulton-trained four-year-old son of Muscle Hill-Girlie Tough improved his 2022 record to 4-3-1 from 17 starts with the win.  The eight-time winner has banked $286,568 for Thestable Locatelli and Hutchison Harness LLC.
