Meadows Feature To Im Happy Hanover

Im Happy Hanover winning at The Meadows

Im Happy Hanover strolled to a comfortable :58.2 opening half, leaving her strong enough to discourage serious challengers en route to victory in Wednesday’s feature at The Meadows, a $13,300 conditioned trot.

With no rival threatening outside, the three-year-old daughter of Muscle Hill-Im On Cloud Nine cruised home in a career-best 1:55 for Dave Palone. Golden Compass was second, beaten three-quarters of a length, while Saint K shot the Lightning Lane for show.

Ron Burke trains Im Happy Hanover, who vaulted over $100,000 in lifetime earnings, for Eric Good.

Dave Palone piloted three winners on the 11-race card while the combinations of Aaron Merriman and trainer Sarah Andrews and Mike Wilder and trainer Dan Altmeyer each clicked for a pair of victories.

Live harness racing at The Meadows continues Thursday with first post at 12:45 p.m.
