Now that the post draw is complete, who do you think will win the 2022 $100,000 Atlantic Lottery Gold Cup & Saucer?

After a dominating performance in Gold Cup and Saucer Trial 2, Sintra has drawn Post 9 for the $100,000 final set for Saturday evening (Aug. 20) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. 

The draw for the $100,000 Gold Cup and Saucer final, presented by Atlantic Lottery Corporation, took place during the Tuesday program at the capital oval. The posts for the nine-horse final were drawn by the Gold Cup and Saucer Ambassadors while being officiated by the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission with morning line favourite Sintra drawing Post 9 for trainer Jamie Smith. 

Trial 1 winner Ideal Perception will leave from Post 3 while Trial 3 winner Patrikthepiranha A has Post 2.

Also announced on the Tuesday draw, Warren Ellis and family of Summerside Chrysler Dodge is sponsoring the Smash The Track Record promotion with an extra $10,000 bonus if the 1:50.1 track record is broken. The winner of the race will receive $5,000, second place will bank $1,500 and the rest of the field will each receive $500.
