Undeterred by Post 9, Jessesjo demolished the field in a career-best 1:53.4 — fastest time this year by an older gelding trotter on a five-eighths-mile track — while winning his fifth straight in Wednesday’s $22,500 Preferred Handicap at The Meadows

Jessesjo rolled through the mile on the point for Dave Palone in fractions of :27.4, :57, 1:24.3 and 1:53.4, comfortably downing the first over No Doze. Hope Reins Supreme rallied for show.
Ron Burke trains Jessesjo, a five-year-old Jailhouse Jesse-Boston Blaze gelding, who vaulted over $100,000 in lifetime earnings. He is owned by Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Palone and Burke teamed for four victories on the 15-race card while Tony Hall and Aaron Merriman each fashioned a driving triple.
