Ohio native Rich Lombardo owned a piece of 2017 Cup third-place finisher, Downbytheseaside; this year he owned parts of two starters. On race night, Rich’s 19-year-old daughter Chelsea was graduating from her dance conservatory in Boston - his plan was to still somehow attend the race live.
