Saturday Mohawk Baby Races Complete
The up and coming two-year-old trotters and pacers took the track on Saturday morning at Woodbine Mohawk Park for an assembly of 11 qualifying races (June 11).
Two-year-old pacing colt Stockade Seelster covered the fastest mile of the assembly in 1:56.1. Sitting seventh, driver Tyler Moore pulled Stockade Seelster first up on the far outside to sweep by Scribblers in a two-length victory. Bettor Bea Terror finished next in third. Stockade Seelster is by State Treasurer and is the second foal out of the Big Jim mare Soiree Seelster. The colt was a $45,000 London Select purchase for trainer Dr. Ian Moore and owners Sally and Paul MacDonald.
Enzo Aguello with Anthony MacDonald in the bike paired up for the best trotting mile on the card, clocking 1:59 at the wire. The duo claimed victory over fellow Father Patrick colt Lowry in second and What An Angel followed up in third. Trained by Anthony MacDonald, Enzo Aguello is a $17,000 sale purchase by Father Patrick and out of the Credit Winner mare Treasure On Credit.
