Sprocket Gets All The Marbles In Harrington Open

Edwin Gannon, Jr.'s Sprocket ended his string of second-place finishes Monday with a 1:51 score for driver Pat Berry in the featured $20,000 Open at Harrington Raceway.

The Traci Berry trainee, who was a front end winner over Thornbush Hanover and Sun Of A Show, achieved his fourth win of the year.

The seven-year-old Sportswriter gelding has banked nearly $80,000 this year. He had been on the lead at some point in each of his three races prior, all runner-up finishes in which he lost in photo finishes in two of the races.

Sprocket has had a career year that included a 1:48.2 win at Dover Downs earlier in the season. He paid $4.20 to win.

Berry, Ross Wolfenden, Victor Kirby and Art Stafford, Jr. each had driving doubles on the card.
