Mystical Diva Tops Select Mixed Sale
A number of high profile horses, including sale topper Mystical Diva, changed hands during Monday’s 2012 January Select Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey

Fran Azur of Beaver Pond, PA shelled out $170,000 to purchase Mystical Diva, who sold as Hip #134, from the Preferred Equine, Inc. consignment. The four-year-old daughter of Western Ideal-Schoolofcardknocks is a nine-time winner with earnings nearing $170,000. She took a race record of 1:50.4 last season at Pocono Downs.
Divulge, who sold as Hip #94, was scooped up for $160,000 by Daryl Bier of Smyrna, DE. Consigned by Northwood Bloodstock Agency, the three-year-old son of Tell All-Pop Diva took a 1:51.3 record at The Red Mile in during his rookie season. He put together a 2-2-1 record during that 10-start campaign while banking more than $50,000 along the way.
Flipper J also went to Fran Azur, who laid down $155,000 to purchase Hip #159. The four-year-old son of Art Major-Dolphins Can Talk, who was consigned by Preferred Equine, Inc, took a 1:49.3 speed badge last season at Tioga Downs in a division of the Tompkin-Geers. The graduate of the NYSS program is a nine-time winner with earnings in excess of $250,000.
Sevruga, who sold as Hip #145, was taken for $150,000 by KDM Stable Corp of Farmingdale, NY. The four-year-old son of SJs Caviar-Stunning Lindsey, who was consigned by Preferred Equine, Inc, missed his rookie season before putting together a 7-5-1 in 18 starts during his sophomore campaign. The gelding earned a record of 1:54.2 at Pocono Downs while stashing away $147,491 in earnings.
