Several horses in the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society’s program will lend a hoof or two in the upcoming first annual Forging Competition on January 21

.

System Fencing Farrier Supplies and Distribution is hosting the event, which boasts $2,000 in prize money. In addition, a sale for all farriers will be conducted on January 20 and 21.

Judge and clinician Luke Proulx will oversee the competition, which will get underway at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m.

The competition will be held at Systems Fencing’s facility at 14321 5th Line Nassagaweya in Rockwood. Spectators are welcome.
