May's Calendar Photographer

Heart of Harness Racing Calendar's May photo

Evelyn Sabraw of Acme, Alta., is Standardbred Canada’s May photographer for the Heart of Harness Racing Calendar.

Sabraw captured this adorable image of Severe Turbulence one day at her farm.

“Every time we turn mom and baby out for the first time, I try to have the camera handy," she explained. "Those foals never fail to put on a show.”

Since SC last spoke to Sabraw, she has added two more broodmares to her stable, totalling 14, with eight foals on the ground and a two-year-old in training. Sabraw has also recently started as the new paddock judge at Century Downs Racetrack & Casino.

Standardbred Canada has asked Sabraw some “Rapid Fire” questions to gain a little bit more insight into her harness racing history and favourites.

I first learned about harness racing in 2013.

I really love the Track On 2 in Lacombe as a fan and photographer.

Where is your favourite spot to take photos?

Right here at home!

All the famous ones out east!
