Slick Tony Doubles Up In Harrington Open
Slick Tony notched his second straight win Monday in the featured $20,000 Open Pace at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.2.
The seven-year-old No Spin Zone stallion was a wire-to-wire winner for driver Montrell Teague over None Bettor A and Random Hanover.
It was the 57th career victory Slick Tony for owner/trainer Nola Leager. He has banked $930,885 lifetime. He paid $3.20 to win.
Teague later drove Never Say Never N ($4.40) to victory in the eighth race, joining Allan Davis and Art Stafford, Jr. with a driving double.
Stafford drove the longest shot of the meet thus far to an upset win when Gotta Minute N ($173.20) came down the passing lane to score a win at nearly 90-to-1 odds in the 12th race.
Driver Mike Cole won his 1,998th race in the finale aboard Imkeepnthisguy ($7).
Owner Rodney Long and trainer Chuck Crissman teamed up for a double on the card.
