Shoobee Doo A Scores In Harrington Open

Michael Casalino and Dylan Davis' Shoobee Doo A was a wire-to-wire winner Monday on the opening night card at Harrington Raceway in 1:51.2 in the $20,000 Open Pace.

The seven-year-old Shoobees Place gelding controlled the pace from his rail post position for driver Corey Callahan and never relinquished the lead as he held off Sprocket and Mcboogity for his 27th career win.

Trained by co-owner Davis, Shoobee Doo A surpassed $300,000 in career earnings with the victory. He paid $2.60 to win.

Longshot players were treated to a delight in race 11 as Proper One ($148.60, Cody Poliseno) circled the field late to prevail at huge odds for trainer Carlo Poliseno and owner Louis Tomczak, Jr.

Driver Mike Cole scored with George and Tina Dennis' Last Gunfighter ($4) in a sub-featured $15,000 event for pacers. Trained by Joe Columbo, the eight-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding was victorious in wire-to-wire fashion over Got The Mojo and Wichita Lineman.

Racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule.
