Pathtodover Loves London
Pathtodover showed her love for London's half-mile oval at the Western Fair District once again as she rallied home off cover to win the featured $12,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace on Wednesday night
.
The Straight Path-Armbro Kerchief mare has been a model of consistency while racing at Western Fair, winning more than half of her 12 starts at the track and only missing the board once in those outings.
Making her first start of the New Year on Wednesday's card, Pathtodover got away fourth before following P Note Blue Chip to the outside before the half. She rallied wide before her cover cleared to command and powered past in the stretch to score the 1:57.2 triumph over the "good" surface, which was rated one second slow. P Note Blue Chip finished one length behind in second with My Ideal rounding out the top three.
The career winner of nearly $120,000 notched her 19th victory while making her 59th lifetime start for trainer-driver Doug Bowins and owner-breeder Mario Marcogliese of Dundas, Ont.
