Iglare Am Impressive At Mohawk
Iglare AM had a solid end to her sophomore season in 2021 with five top-two finishes in her last six starts, and after a three-month rest the trotting mare looks ready to pick up where she left off.
Woodbine Mohawk Park hosted a six-pack of qualifiers on Friday (March 4) with a trotting mile registering the fastest of the sextet. Most of that work came courtesy Sicario and driver Sylvain Filion, who hammered out fractions of :28.2, :56.3 and 1:26.2 in their Friday morning test before being collared by the debuting Eliothrope F (Dave Menary) at the head of the stretch. Iglare AM was right-lined around that rival by driver James MacDonald and the trotting mare comfortably glided by to trip the timer more than three lengths the best in a time of 1:56.
Dominic Gladu trains Iglare Am (Southwind Frank - Noblesse Blue Chip) for Thestable Iglare Am Group of Guelph, Ont. The trotter sports eight lifetime tallies and a mark of 1:53.2 taken at Mohawk last fall.
