Mares Benefit From Class Drop
Both No Bad Luck and Docdor Libby dropped down from the Open ranks to win split $16,000 Filly and Mare twin features on Monday, Dec. 26 at Dover Downs

In the first $16,000 division, Montrell Teague pulled to the outside to pass leader Ash Larue at the three-quarters and then rolled away to a 1:52.3 victory. The Badlands Hanover-Gee Im Lucky four-year-old won her fifth of 2011 and goes over the six digit mark in earnings now at $107,381 for owners Badlands Racing and trainer George Teague. Outahere Hanover (Brad Hanners) was a strong second with Freedom Crossing (Vince Copeland) third.
Docdor Libby took command early and was never headed in a 1:53.2 conquest in the other Mares Winners-Over section. It was the third win of the day for Ross Wolfenden driving for Kim Gadino. The Joe Hundertpfund Camluck-Tripleplay Hanover five-year-old trainee had been second in four of her previous five outings. Star Keeper (Corey Callahan) closed late to finish second. VC Atom N (Vince Copeland) was the show horse. Docdor Libby won for the eighth time this season and now has banked $156,565 this year.
Owner-trainer Wayne King’s RB’s Girl, driven by Tim Curtin, was the longshot of the day. Off at 48-1, the Riverboat King-Judes Girl sophomore, fresh from a 22-1 win in her last start, reduced her lifetime record to 1:54.4 in her sixth win of the season winning a $15,500 3,4&5-Year-Old Filly and Mare pace. Badlands Style (Jon Roberts) and Shes Electric (Ben Stafford) were second and third respectively.
