Hanover's First Tall Dark Stranger Foal Arrives
Hanover Shoe Farms welcomed its first foal by 2020 Dan Patch Horse of the Year Tall Dark Stranger on Tuesday morning (Feb. 1).
The filly is the fourth foal out of the Western Ideal mare Livin Life, who is a sister to world champion I Luv The Nitelife p,3, 1:48.4f ($1,947,511).
“While Livin Life is somewhat of a short, blocky mare, her Tall Dark Stranger filly is very long legged with a beautiful head," said Hanover’s Dr. Bridgette Jablonsky. "I’m not surprised though, genetics usually hold true and Tall Dark Stranger is one of the most beautiful and elegant stallions I have seen."
Hanover is expecting 18 more foals by Tall Dark Stranger including foals out of American Jewel p, 3, 1:48.2, ($1,834,823), Bedroomconfessions p, 1:48.4 ($1,068,778), Galliebythebeach p, 3, 1:49 ($755,745), and Youaremycandygirl p, 3 ,1:48.2 ($1,647,229) as well as the dams of Abuckabett Hanover p, 3 ,1:49.1 ($813,542), Filibuster Hanover p, 1:48.1f ($1,946,653), Bettors Wish p, 1:47.3 ($2,781,240), Papi Rob Hanover p, 3, 1:47.1f ($1,019,244), and Tall Drink Hanover p, 3, 1:48 ($1,053,023).
