Chick N Tell A Millionaire
The latest trotter to join harness racing's millionaire club is Chick N Tell, who surpassed the magical threshold on Friday night
.
In the 11th race at Flamboro Downs, the popular veteran trotter rallied three-wide from the back of the pack approaching the third quarter station and sprinted home to finish second in a conditioned event for driver Paul MacKenzie. That $3,000 payday lifted Chick N Tell's career bankroll to $1,001,453.
Owned by trainer Stephen Doyle of Dundas, Ont. and New Jersey's Stake Your Claim Stable, the nine-year-old son of Glory B River out of Power Chickette earned his biggest paydays winning a leg of the 2009 Trotting Classic and finishing second in the final, but the majority of his money has been earned racing in overnights and in the open trotting ranks across North America.
