Palone, Ginger And Fred Deliver

Ginger And Fred danced to the lead despite a Post 8 start and made short work of the field as she captured Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows in a sharp 1:51.3

.

Hammered down to 3-10, Ginger And Fred passed up an early opportunity to sit behind the leader, Mud Pie Hanover, and continued on for Dave Palone. She blazed the back half in :55 to down Mud Pie Hanover by a comfortable 1-1/2 lengths. Forever Showin Off finished third.

Ron Burke trains Ginger And Fred, a five-year-old daughter of Real Artist-Graceful Motion who boasts over $1.5 million in career earnings, for Howard Taylor, Robert Feldman, Edwin Gold and Jerry Silva.

Palone drove five winners — three for trainer Ron Burke — while Eric Ledford enjoyed a driving four-bagger on the 15-race card.

I was reading some of the ideas for saving racing and so on and so forth but i was reading someones blog about bet canada and they had good ideas here is what i learned thou esp. in the standardbred game if a trainer is good in one race and he has 3 or 4 more in that night most of the time all his horses are good for the night and another thing to look for is a horse that has no gate speed at all and goes to the front the next week he will come off the pace and at the wire 1st or 2nd more often than not this handicapping works for me anyway esp if the trainer takes him out.
