Giant T On A Mission
Giant T won his 15th race of the season on Thursday at Monticello Raceway with Bruce Aldrich, Jr. in the sulky he also has a modest two-race win streak and if he wins one more race he will be in a virtual tie with Lorenzo Dream
for being one of only two trotters in the U.S. to have 16 wins so far this year.
The current leader, Lorenzo Dream, is in sole possession of first place with 16 wins. He finished fourth in his last start on December 2 at Saratoga Raceway in the Open trot class, and at the time of writing Lorenzo Dream has not been entered to race in the U.S. leaving that door of opportunity open for Giant T.
Giant T claimed back in April of this year for the bargain price of $4,000 by the King Of The Castle Stable has turned out to be a winning move for the stable Giant T had only one win on the year when he was claimed and has since gone on to win 14 more times for his new connections with Robert Beauregard handling the training duties.
Giant T could possibly have three more starts before the New Year to try and accomplish his mission of getting those 16 wins to tie or maybe even 17 to take the lead from Lorenzo Dream we shall see.
Giant T was sent off as the odds on 4-5 favourite and went wire to wire in 2:03 on the off going at the Monticello Raceway oval.
