Roger Burtnyk Passes
Longtime horse breeder, owner, trainer and driver Roger Burtnyk passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the University Hospital in London, Ont. in his 77th year
.
Left to cherish wonderful memories of their life together is his wife and best friend of 55 years, Grace (née McMaster), and his three children, Brian (Denise), Karen (Gerry) and Susan. Also missed by grandchildren, Stephany, Jennifer, Tiffany, Chad, Nicholas, Tyler, Qiara and Anna, and great granddaughter, Amy.
Roger was the proud owner of Triple B Stables, which bred, raised and trained such great horses as Tri B Brutis, Tri B Aphrodite and Tri B Cassandra, as well as Miss Taco, Trim the Track, etc. Tri B Stables was located in Bothwell, Ont. for more than 25 years.
Most horsemen/women might remember Roger from the tack shops he used to own at the old Orangeville Raceway and Elmira Racetrack. Roger could be seen at all the Ontario racetracks from a mile away wearing his bright orange racing colours.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations maybe made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
