Windsor Raceway regular Charles Taylor recorded his 2,000th driving win aboard his own trainee Artistic Ebony at Sports Creek Raceway

on Friday night.

Taylor guided the five-year-old Artistic mare to a 2:01 triumph, her second of the season, in the fourth race for owner-breeder Joyce Menzel of Muskegon, Michigan. Gracious Gal (Jason Merriman) finished one and a half lengths behind and Dragon Of Mystery (Tyler St Louis) was third.

The veteran horseman from Albion, Michigan has won 23 races so far this year while earning over $130,000 in purses. In over 30 years of driving, he has earned more than $6.46 million.
