Market Share Named Green Acres HOTY

Market Share, undefeated in five career starts, has been chosen Horse of the Year for 2011 in the Green Acres Division of the New Jersey Sire Stakes

.

The award, which is voted annually by the NJSS Board of Trustees, is based only on performances in the NJSS Green Acres Division.

The son of Revenue won three legs of the NJSS Green Acres series at Freehold Raceway for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings. With Jeff Gregory driving, Market Share set a Green Acres record of 1:58.4 winning the $25,000 championship final of that series.

Trained by Linda Toscano for co-owners Richard Gutnick of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and Gary Cocco of New Town Square, Pennsylvania, the colt also won a $25,000 New Jersey Futurity at Freehold, finishing the year with career earnings of $36,250.
