2011 Manitoba Awards Presented
Harness racing's top stars on the Manitoba Great Western circuit this season were recognized at the 2011 Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Glenboro
, MB.
Three-year-old pacing colt My Friend Don took home divisional honours and was named the Top Manitoba Bred of the Year after earning four wins and never missing the board in eight starts. The winner of the MSSBA Futurity and Golden Boy finals earned $20,177 in 2011 for the award-winning driver and trainer team of Darryl and Sherri Mason. My Friend Don is a son of Sire of the Year Firm Friend and Broodmare of the Year Tomorrows Pride.
