Tuneariffic was terrific at The Meadows once more, knifing through the slop to track down the strong leader and capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Handicap Pace for his second straight victory

When Code Word drew off to a clear lead down the backside, it appeared that Tuneariffic might have too much first-over work to do. But the seven-year-old Tune Town-Dulcinea Esprit gelding persevered for J.D. Wengerd and nailed Code Word by a nose in 1:52.3. Jojo N Goliath finished third.

Johnny Yoder trains and owns Tuneariffic, who has taken five of his last eight races.

Dave Palone drove four winners on the 15-race card.
