Donato Hanovers In High Demand
A trio of yearlings sold for price tags of $200,000 or more during Tuesday’s second session of the Harrisburg Yearling Sale, and all three of them were by Hambletonian-winning sire Donato Hanover
.
The sale topper during the second session was Liquid Fire, a son of Donato Hanover-Ferrari OF who sold as Hip 333. Consigned by Diamond Creek Farm LLC, the black colt was purchased by Continental Farm of Lighthouse Point, FL. for $290,000.
Auxiliary Hanover, a daughter of Donato Hanover-Aurora Hall who sold as Hip 433, was consigned by Hanover Shoe Farms Inc. and purchased for $200,000 by the partnership of David McDuffee, Mel Hartman and Herb Liverman. She’s the full-sister to the multiple stakes-winning colt, Possess The Will (1:54 - $346,577).
Call To Battle, who sold as Hip 289 for consigner Peninsula Farm Inc., was purchased for $200,000 by Jules Siegel of New Hope, PA. The Donato Hanover-My Own Hanover colt has a pair of $100,000-winning siblings.
The second session saw 292 yearlings sell, with gross sales totaling $10,680,000. The average for the day was $35,719 compared to the opening day average of $54,719.
In total, 541 yearlings have sold for gross sales of $23,922,000 which translates to an average sale price of $44,218.
