A Friday night grand slam at Western Fair Raceway helped driver Trevor Henry reach a special career milestone

.

The resident of Arthur, Ont. earned his 4,000th career win after guiding home his fourth winner on the 12-race card.

Henry earned his first win in the third race with Thats What I Do ($3.80) for trainer Dan Creighton before going back-to-back in the seventh and eighth races aboard Im ($14.30) for Wayne Langille and Frenchmen ($6.90) for Nick Henry.

Henry recorded the milestone victory in the finale after sending Capris In Motion ($5.10) three-wide past the third quarter station. The four-year-old Camotion mare, trained by Blake MacIntosh for Winbak Farm, surged to command and drew away to a five and a quarter length score in 2:00 flat.

"It was just nice to get it over with," said Henry of reaching the milestone. "It is satisfying and now I can just continue on with business as usual."

Henry has recorded 226 of his 4,000 wins this year and currently sits second in the track’s drivers standings for 2011. Lifetime, he has banked over $25.9 million in purses.

"My father was a big key in helping my career," added the reinsman. "He got me started driving some good horses and you really need that in the beginning to prove yourself."
