Gabbys Dream Victorious in NJSS Action
Gabbys Dream drew away to a one and three-quarter-length victory over stablemate I Wanted Wings in the $85,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes for two-year-old trotting fillies this afternoon at Freehold Raceway.
Gabbys Dream trotted the mile in a lifetime best of 1:59 with Jim Pantaleano in the race bike. The daughter of Dream Vacation, out of the Self Possessed mare Exorcist, now has two wins, three seconds and one third from ten starts for the Golden Goose Enterprises of Marlboro, New Jersey, the nom de racecourse of her breeder, Gary S. Tolchin.
Gabbys Dream ($10.20, $5.60, $3.40) has banked $75,665.
Finishing second was the Muscles Yankee filly I Wanted Wings ($3.00, $2.60).
Both Gabbys Dream and I Wanted Wings are trained by Ross Croghan but raced uncoupled due to separate ownership.
Allamerican Phoebe ($3.60), also by Muscles Yankee, was third by three and three-quarter lengths.
