Charlottes Ace Tops NSPE Yearling Sale
The Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale took place on Friday, Oct. 21 at Truro Raceway with Charlottes Ace bringing in the highest bid of the day

Charlottes Ace, Hip 13, was purchased for $11,000 by Paul Gray. Consigned by Andre Moeller, the black daughter of Astronomical and Charlottes Xena is a half-sister to Charlottes Coast, a four-time Atlantic Sires Stakes divisional winner and runner-up to Meridian Magic in the 2010 Maritime Breeders Final.
Also consigned by Moeller, Go Ahead, Hip 42, garnered the second highest bid at $10,500. A. Diane Fillmore purchased the bay son of Brandons Cowboy and Suddenly Susan, who is a half-brother to Bob Dewar Memorial Stake and Atlantic Sires Stakes winner Extreme Measure, and $355,780 earner Easy Feelin, winner of multiple Mares Opens on the New York circuit.
Win Storm Dancer, Hip 35, was purchased for $7,400 by R J & J R Skinner/S&B Tufts. Consigned by Arnold Fitzgerald, the bay son of Western Paradise and Red Sea is a full-brother to this year's Nova Scotia Series Stake runner-up Seeyouonthebeach. He is a half-brother to $361,541 earner and sub-1:50 pacer Future Character, and $177,959 earner Princess Character, a runner-up in the 2005 International Stallion Stakes.
A total of 41 yearlings were sold for $158,100 with an average price of $3,856.
