Noble Trainees Double In Late Bloomer
Mike Noble trainees proved to be a sure bet in the second round of the Late Bloomer Stake at Sudbury Downs on Saturday night

Brew ($9.70) was a repeat winner for Noble in the first of three $7,500 second leg divisions. The three-year-old Mannart Howard gelding and driver Jason Ryan advanced first over from fourth and wore down pacesetter Flojo Copperstone en route to the four length victory in 1:59 over the 'good' track rated two seconds slow.
Noble's other Late Bloomer starter, Elite ($11.20), converted from the pocket to win his division in 2:00.3 by half a length over pacesetter Erwins Xample. Justin Turcotte drove the three-year-old Western Ideal gelding.
The Wayne MacLean-trained and driven Hip Hop Luck ($5.90) inherited the victory in the other division after first over Aligned Hanover caused interference to the pocket-sitter in the stretch and was first-placed-second. The five-year-old Sir Luck mare's winning time was 2:01.2.
Noble ended the 11-race card with a training triple. He also teamed up with MacLean to win the fifth race with Nobles Grin ($5.90).
