Kim Gadino’s Docdor Libby earned her sixth win of the year in the $22,500 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway Tuesday in 1:53.4

The five-year-old Camluck mare and driver Ross Wolfenden sat behind pacesetter No Bad Luck throughout the mile before surging by the game leader in the final strides. Melissas Fancy, who had won the past two distaff events, finished third.

For Docdor Libby, the win served as redemption for last week’s fifth-place finish as the beaten favourite. Trained by Joe Hundertpfund, Jr., she has banked more than $115,000 in 2011. She paid $7 to her backers.

Drivers Jon Roberts, Allan Davis and Corey Callahan each had two winners.
