Hooray For Holliday

Mickey Holliday, 18, notched the first win of his driving career behind Masteroftheclass in the 11th race on Tuesday night

(Oct. 4) at Batavia Downs Casino.

Holliday is the son of Ken and Sherri Holliday. His sister, Ashley, is the Batavia Downs Parade Marshal.

Leaving from post six, Holliday pulled Masteroftheclass first up and they went on to a 2-1/4 length win in 1:59.4. The win was Masteroftheclass’ first of the season in 31 starts. He returned $18.00.

“I’m on cloud nine right now,” Mickey Holliday said. “I want to thank my dad for teaching me everything he knows, my mom for letting me drive her horse and Danny Clark for giving me the opportunity.”

Mickey Holliday obviously had a good teacher. His dad, Ken Holliday, has won 5,078 races and his drives have earned more than $20 million.
