Kawartha Record For Allamerican Swift
The track record for distaffers at Kawartha Downs now belongs to Allamerican Swift, who lived up to the latter part of her name in a $9,000 assignment on Thursday
.
The fleet-footed Allamerican Swift sped around the five-eighths miler in 1:52, and in doing so she knocked four-fifths of a second off the former mark of 1:52.4 set by Casper on June 14, 2005.
Billy Davis, Jr. hustled the six-year-old daughter of Real Artist-Sweet Amor to the engine and she carved out panels of :26.2, :55.2 and 1:23 before snapping home in a :29-second clip to post the 2-1/2 length decision over Got The Muchies. June The Third finished third.
Sent off as the 6-5 favourite in the seven-mare affair, Allamerican Swift extended her winning streak to three-in-a-row for trainer Carmen Auciello and owner Robert Burgess of Cedar Valley, ON. The 30-time winner has banked in excess of $380,000 in her career.
