Prices Rise During Select Session Of CTHS Yearling Sale
The Select Session of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society's 2011 Canadian-Bred Yearling Sale, which took place over two days for the first time on Monday, Sept. 5 and Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion at Woodbine Racetrack, saw average prices increase by 11 per cent
.
A total of 148 yearlings were sold for $4,803,500. The average yearling price increased from $28,802 in 2010 to $32,456 in 2011.
The sale topper, a son of War Front-Terrigal, was purchased for $140,000 by William and Anne Scott.
