Little Brown Jug Week Radio Simulcasts
The publicity arm of the Little Brown Jug has stated that a pair of local radio stations will broadcast all of the harness racing action at the Delaware Ohio County Fairgrounds
from September 18-22 live. The coverage will also be simulcast on the stations' websites.
For the second straight year Delaware radio station WINF (101.9 FM) and Marysville’s True Oldies WQTT (1270 AM) will broadcast all of the harness racing 'live.'
The broadcasts include the live call of each race from the track announcers, interviews, handicapping analysis of each race, updated odds and complete mutual results. Airtime will begin each day 30 minutes before first-race post time. That will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday and Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. There will be no racing on Monday.
Don Berman and Dean Hoffman will be hosting for the second straight year. Hall of Fame announcer Roger Huston, the voice of the Little Brown Jug for more than 40 years, will also make handicapping selections each day and his race call will be part of the broadcasts.
“Due to the advantage of streaming our complete daily broadcasts online, we received emails from all over the U.S. and Canada in 2010,” said Berman, “and we anticipate hearing from even more listeners during Jug week this year.”
