Tajwon Doubles Against Open Foes
Tajwon doubled up in Open action on the Manitoba fair circuit with an off the pace score in the $2,500 Open Pace at Deloraine on Sunday afternoon

The field of five aligned in post position order over the sloppy track for the :31.3 first quarter with Crush On Clinton leading the way, followed by Outlaw Spider, Drumheller, Tajwon and Trueland Hanover.
Outlaw Spider confronted the leader at the half in 1:02.3 and took over command by the next marker in 1:33.1 with Drumheller following to the outside and Tajwon and trainer-driver Richard Remillard on his cover.
Kicking into action down the stretch, Tajwon sprinted past the leader to score the 2:04.3 victory by one and a quarter lengths. Drumheller finished four lengths behind in third.
Tajwon paid $3.70 to win. Ruth Welcher of Roblin, MB owns the seven-year-old gelded son of Tajma Hall-Alberts B Uty, who has won half of his eight starts this year.
Popular three-year-old gelding Play On Top survived an overland journey to win the $2,300 Ken McGee Memorial Pace in 2:09 for trainer-driver Greg Manning and owners Keith Earle and Bill Lowrie of Winnipeg, and Donald Ransom of Boissevain, MB. Unraced at two, the son of Allamerican Ingot-Moppy Top now sports a record reading 7-2-1 in 11 outings. The win was his third in a row.
Darryl and Sherri Mason teamed up for a grand slam on the 12-race Sunday card with Magic Cross, In Tatters, Untold Millions and Maple Street Bon.
