On Wednesday, August 24, officials with the Little Brown Jug announced that there will be a half-mile pace contested at the Delaware Ohio County Fair

The organization also announced that complete stakes and overnight schedules for the 2011 Delaware County Fair will be on the Little Brown Jug website on Thursday, August 25.

The half-mile pace, which will be contested Wednesday, September 21, will be for horses and geldings that have won more than $1,000 but less than $5,000 in 2011. The estimated purse for the event is $2,500.

Racing will begin at the Delaware Fair during the afternoon of Sunday, September 18 and will continue Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. There will be no racing on Monday, September 19.

The draw for the 41st Jugette for three-year-old pacing fillies will be held the morning of Friday, September 16, and the draw for the 66th Little Brown Jug will take place the morning of Saturday, September 17.
