Big Weekend For Nixon

The Gold Cup and Saucer made a visit to Pinette Raceway on Sunday, August 21st in the company of owner of Blissfull Breeze, Leo Racicot
Racicot was there to watch his victorious trainer Dean Nixon follow in the footsteps of Mark MacDonald and make his first driving start in a race at Pinette.
The victory celebration the night before didn't dull Nixon's judgment and he broke his driving maiden with a wire-to-wire win with Emily Perry's Missile in the fourth race, following it up with a stretch win from the pocket with Mary Jean Noye's Coors Life. When asked which win was more satisfying, his driving win or the Gold Cup and Saucer, Nixon laughed and said, “This is more fun!”
