Hiawatha Horse Park & Entertainment Center, a multi faceted entertainment center has an immediate opening for the its General Manager Position.

The General Manager is responsible and accountable for the effective management of the Racetrack and ancillary entertainment venues. You will be responsible for managing operations in compliance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the Ontario Racing Commission and the Canadian Pari Mutuel Association of Canada, as well as other applicable municipal and federal laws and regulations including safety and security standards of the corporation.

Applicant must have a strong focus in financial and budgetary planning. Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the site by providing leadership, orientation, guidance and support to all departments. Consult with the President on other owned businesses and future developments.

Qualifications Required:
• C.A., C.G.A. or equivalent
• Proven ability to display good judgment and teamwork
• Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
• Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of how to successfully implement key business initiatives
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong customer service focus, outstanding interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in racetrack operations.
